Ultrasonic Mineral Wire Stripping

Ultrasonic Mineral Wire Stripping | MI cable Stripper

The ultrasonic Mi Cable stripping machine is designed for Thermocouple Cables, mineral insulated (MI) cables, metal armored cables, and magnesium oxide cables. It is a specialized solution for stripping mineral insulated and armored cables.

The equipment can be used as a standalone stripping machine or integrated as a stripping unit into an automated production line. It is suitable for stripping mineral insulated cables with diameters ranging from 1 mm to 20 mm.

Compared with traditional manual stripping methods, the ultrasonic armored cable stripping machine makes intelligent use of ultrasonic energy characteristics to crush and remove the insulating mineral powder inside fire-resistant cables while fully protecting the cable conductors from damage.

The machine features a compact design, reliable operation, high efficiency, fast processing speed, and low power consumption. It is suitable for stripping various specifications of mineral insulated cables. The ultrasonic cable stripping equipment can process both single-core and multi-core mineral insulated cables.

This ultrasonic MI cable stripping machine solves the long-standing difficulties associated with stripping mineral insulated cables and fills a technological gap in the domestic ultrasonic MI cable stripping equipment industry.

Equipment Components

Ultrasonic Generator (Power Supply Unit)

The ultrasonic generator consists of a rectifier circuit, oscillation circuit, feedback circuit, tracking circuit, control circuit, power amplifier circuit, and matching circuit.

It converts standard AC power into high-frequency, high-voltage AC current and supplies it to the ultrasonic transducer installed in the stripping mechanism.

The generator power is adjustable to accommodate different operating conditions. It also includes an integrated timing controller for controlling ultrasonic activation time and interval cycles.

Ultrasonic Vibration System

The ultrasonic vibration system consists of an ultrasonic transducer, booster, tool head, housing, and cooling fan.

The transducer converts electrical energy into mechanical energy in the form of ultrasonic vibrations. The vibration is generated through longitudinal reciprocating expansion and contraction movements.

The booster amplifies the vibration amplitude according to design requirements while also serving as the mounting structure for the entire ultrasonic vibration system.

Ultrasonic Stripping Mechanism

The stripping mechanism consists of a telescopic tool head, pneumatic cylinder, solenoid control valve, and pressure regulator.

Driven by the pneumatic cylinder, the telescopic tool head presses the cable firmly against the ultrasonic tool head, allowing ultrasonic energy to be transferred from the tool head to the cable to complete the stripping process.

This ultrasonic cable end stripping machine is capable of removing the outer sheath from all insulated cables and optical cables with similar structures.

Working Principle

The ultrasonic booster transfers ultrasonic vibrations to the tool head, which impacts the cable.

Under the high-frequency and high-intensity action of ultrasonic energy, the insulating mineral powder inside the metal sheath of the Mineral Insulated Cable becomes loosened, crushed, and expelled.

A unique characteristic of ultrasonic energy should be emphasized here: ultrasonic force is transmitted seamlessly through solid materials.

At the beginning of the stripping process, the cable sheath, mineral insulation powder, and conductor cores form an integrated structure, allowing ultrasonic energy to propagate throughout the cable.

Under ultrasonic vibration, the mineral insulation powder becomes loosened and fragmented, enabling natural discharge. At this point, the conductor cores separate from the cable sheath, which naturally isolates the ultrasonic energy from the conductors.

In other words, when protection of the cable conductors becomes necessary, the ultrasonic energy automatically ceases acting on them.

As a result, ultrasonic stripping of mineral insulated cables can effectively remove the mineral insulation powder while causing absolutely no damage to the cable conductors.
